Editorial Standards
These standards apply to everything Tricity Market publishes as news, analysis or explainer.
Accuracy and sources
- We report what an order, notice, judgment or announcement actually says. We do not invent or guess at orders, judgments, government announcements, quotations, sources, dates or legal conclusions.
- Legal and regulatory reports link to the underlying official source wherever one is available — the RERA order, the court judgment, the authority's notice. Where we rely on another publication's report, we name and link it, and we say so in the story.
- If we have not seen the original document, we say that, and we update the story with the link when we find it.
- Figures (prices, reserve prices, areas, dates) are checked against the source before publishing.
Labels
Each story carries a label so readers know what kind of information it is: Official announcement, Confirmed, Reported, Analysis, Opinion or Explainer. Opinion and analysis are never presented as news.
Our own words
We write every story in our own words. We do not republish other publications' articles. Short quotations are attributed.
Dates
Every story shows the date it was published and, when it has been changed, the date it was last updated, with a note explaining significant changes.

Expert contributions
Articles in Expert Advice are written by named professionals. Each author is identified by name, designation and company, and must disclose business interests relevant to the article. We publish contributed articles only with the author's written permission and after editorial review. Contributors' views are their own.
Advertising and sponsored content
Advertisements and sponsored content are labelled "Advertisement" or "Sponsored". Sponsored articles name the sponsor and are not written by our news desk. Advertisers have no say over news coverage.
Conflicts of interest
Our publisher runs a property consultancy in the Tricity. Articles he writes carry a disclosure. News reports follow these standards regardless of which developer, project or authority is involved.
Pictures
We use photographs we own, have permission to use, or that are licensed for reuse, and we credit them. Where we have no suitable photograph we use our own graphics. Every image has a text description (alt text).

We correct errors promptly and openly. See our Corrections Policy.
